Torque plate honing simulates a cylinder head bolted to the engine block while we hone, preventing distortion of the cylinder walls. Without it, bores that measure round on the machine pull out of round the moment the head goes on — costing ring seal, compression, and power. With it, your cylinders are round in the condition that matters: assembled.
Valve spring setup is critical to the proper operation and life of the camshaft. Improper spring pressure results in premature camshaft wear — or catastrophic damage. We measure and set spring pressure to the cam's actual requirements before your engine ever fires.
